Outdoor Gas Grill

My kids and I watch Steven Raichlen on Barbecue U nearly every week. I have four girls and a boy, all under 12, and we all make various yummy noises when it gets to the eating parts.

My girls used to think some of the stuff that Prof. Raichlen grills was weird and gross, but they have gotten used to seeing unusual things being grilled and madeĀ  to look quite tasty.

I have long been a grill fan, but watching Barbecue U has taken this interest to a new level. Now when I grill, I have to do the quarter turn, to make the perfect grill marks, just like on the show. The kids tease me every time I do, but they are really into the grilling too.

That is why I can highly recommend, How To Grill, by Steven Raichlen. This is the essential book on BBQ tips and techniques. In it you will find information on…

  • Types of grills – the basics on outdoor gas grills, charcoal grills, hibachis, tuscan grills, smokers, you name it.

  • How to set everything up – how to properly light coals, clean and oil the grate, and test for proper temperature.

  • Recipes! – From steak to ribs to chicken, and even lobster and vegetables, Detailed instructions on how to cook just about anything on the grill. Plus, there are even quite a few recipes for rubs and sauces.

  • 512 pages filled with well over 1,000 full-color photos, the book features step-by-step instructions for more than 100 techniques and features 150 all-new recipes

  • Plus hundreds of tips on grills, gear, fuels, seasonings, and sauces that will heat up any summer barbecue.

For those that are serious about BBQ, How To Grill is an absolute must have book.
